Pre-Festival:  Tuesday, December 5

5:30 pm:  Karolyn Grimes (Zuzu Bailey) and Jimmy Hawkins (Tommy Bailey) will be at Del Lago Resort & Casino for a special meet and greet.  Silent Auction of a rare autographed item to benefit The Seneca Falls It’s a Wonderful Life Museum.

7:30 pm: Karolyn Grimes and Jimmy Hawkins introduce It’s a Wonderful Life which will be shown at The Vine, Del Lago Resort and Casino.

 

Throughout the Day – Dec. 8, 9, & 10

9 am – 5 pm: New Exhibit:  Virginia Patton Moss – “Ruth Dakin Bailey if You Don’t Mind”.  The Seneca Falls It’s a Wonderful Life Museum, 32 Fall St.

9 am – 5 pm:  A Vision of Peace: From Lucretia Mott and the Universal Peace Union to Donna Reed and Another Mother for Peace.  Wesleyan Chapel, Women’s Rights NHP

9 am – 5 pm: It’s a Wonderful Life shown continuously at the Guntzel Theater, Women’s Rights NHP

10 am – 4 pm (Friday), 9 am-4 pm (Saturday and Sunday):  Book of Lives & Legacies — Tribute to Karolyn Grimes, Carol Coombs Mueller, Virginia Patton Moss, Jeanine Roose and Bette Hawkins (mother of Jimmy Hawkins). National Women’s Hall of Fame, 76 Fall St.

 

Friday, December 8

9:00 am: Cast Members from It’s a Wonderful Life Launch the 2017 Bedford Falls Station Holiday Postmark. Seneca Falls Post Office, 38 State St.

10 am: Press Conference with Karolyn Grimes (Zuzu Bailey), Carol Coombs (Janie Bailey), Jimmy Hawkins (Tommy Bailey) & Jeanine Roose (Young VioletO. The Seneca Falls It’s a Wonderful Life Museum, 32 Fall St 

11 am: “Bread, Salt & Wine” – It’s a Wonderful Housewarming. Cast members present housewarming gifts to the owners of a home built by Habitat for Humanity, 31 Miller St.

11:30 am:  “Every time a bell rings . . .”  Join Cast Members on the bridge for a special ceremony.  Bridge Street Bridge.

Noon – 3 pm: “Lasso the Moon with George Bailey”. Photo opportunity with actor Brian Rohan. Bailey Building & Loan/Chemung Canal Trust Company, 54 Fall St.

Noon – 4:00 pm: Cast members sign autographs. Items for sale include autographs. Autograph fee for items you bring yourself. [Note that some cast members will leave early on this day to make presentations – so arrive early if you want all four autographs]. ARC Building/Old Library, 31 Fall St.

12:30 pm: “Why Seneca Falls?   Panel discussion with historians and “It’s a Wonderful Life” experts about why Seneca Falls is believed to be the Real Bedford Falls. Wesleyan Chapel, Women’s Rights National Historical Park (NHP), 136 Fall St. 

1:30 pm:  Remembering Donna Reed’s Efforts to Promote Better Roles for Women in Film & Television Through Two Iconic Episodes of The Donna Reed Show — “Just a Housewife” and “Prima Donna” (in which Shelly Fabares sings “Johnny Angel).  Wesleyan Chapel, Women’s Rights NHP

2:30 pm: Dr. Jeanine Roose: “A Search for the Meaning of It’s a Wonderful Life.”  Dr. Jeanine Roose (Young Violet Bick) shares her personal and professional insights into life and the search for meaning. Wesleyan Chapel, Women’s Rights NHP

3:30 pm: “Jimmy Hawkins – More Than a Wonderful Life.”  Jimmy Hawkins (Tommy Bailey) talks about his 74-year career in film and television. Wesleyan Chapel, Women’s Rights NHP

6 – 9 pm: Frank Capra’s Preview Dinner with Special Guest Monica Capra Hodges. Tribute to Frank Capra and special showing of rare 8 mm home movie footage of the It’s a Wonderful Life wrap party/picnic being brought by Jimmy Hawkins from his fellow members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.  Deadline for Tickets:  November 30 (See link to ticket information at bottom of home page).  Shuttles leave The Gould Hotel at 5:30 pm for ticket holders. NY Chiropractic College 

9 pm:  Screening of It’s a Wonderful Life. The Delavan Theatre, NY Chiropractic College.

 

Saturday, December 9

10 am: 14th Annual George Bailey Award. Wesleyan Chapel, Women’s Rights NHP

10 am – 3 pm:  Grow Zuzu’s Flower — Children’s Programming.  Children will be invited to add a written or pictorial wish for the world on paper petals provided by the Hall.  The petals will then be collected and displayed as a flower in our window on Sunday, December 10 and beyond.  National Women’s Hall of Fame, 76 Fall St.

11 am: “A Capra Perspective on It’s a Wonderful Life” – Presentation by Monica Capra Hodges, the granddaughter of Frank Capra. Wesleyan Chapel, Women’s Rights NHP

11 am – 1 pm: Cast members sign autographs. Items for sale include autographs. Autograph fee for items you bring yourself. ARC Building/Old Library, 31 Fall St.

2 pm: PREMIERE of the One-Man Play: “Jimmy Stewart on the Front of Life” Starring Brian Rohan. Tickets $12 in advance, $15 at the door. Mynderse Academy Auditorium, 105 Troy Street

2 – 4 pm: Screening of Frank Capra’s American Dream, a documentary produced by Tom Capra and Frank Capra, Jr., narrated by actor/director Ron Howard. Wesleyan Chapel, Women’s Rights NHP

6:30 – 7:30 pm: Photo opportunity with Actors from It’s a Wonderful Life. $20 Fee benefits The Seneca Falls It’s a Wonderful Life Museum.  Mynderse Academy Gymnasium, 105 Troy St.

7:30 – 10:30 pm: “Dance by the Light of the Moon” featuring Andy Stobie & the Greater Finger Lakes Jazz Orchestra. Free.

12:30 pm: “Finding God in It’s a Wonderful Life.” Pastor Greg Asimakoupoulos will do a reading from his book followed by a book signing. First Presbyterian Church, 23 Cayuga St.

2:15 pm: “Two Cents’ Worth of Shoelaces” – Remembering the Iconic Gower’s Drug Store Scene with Jeanine Roose (Young Violet Bick), Karolyn Grimes (Zuzu Bailey) and Jimmy Hawkins (Tommy Bailey). Wesleyan Chapel, Women’s Rights NHP

4:15 pm: The Bells of the Real Bedford Falls. Bells ring throughout town in honor of those who have made a difference in our lives. Join cast members in front of the It’s a Wonderful Life Museum, 32 Fall St.

6 pm: “Welcome Home, Harry Bailey!” Christmas Buffet Dinner. The Seneca Falls Country Club, 2790 NY Rte. 89. Deadline for tickets:  November 30 (see bottom of home page for ticket information).  Shuttles leave The Gould Hotel at 5:30 pm for ticket holders.

 

 

Bedford Falls Express Shuttle Bus Stops include The Gould Hotel, Arc Building & It’s a Wonderful Life Museum, Venues for the dinners (Friday and Sunday), the high school (Saturday) and the Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn and Microtel.  Transfer point to the hotels is the stop at The Gould Hotel.
